VueGram

Privacy policy

VueGram collects nothing.

Last updated: 25 October 2026. This policy covers the VueGram app for Android TV and Google TV, and the websites vuegram.com and docs.vuegram.com.

The short version

What goes to Telegram

VueGram is a Telegram client built on Telegram's own library (TDLib). To show your groups and channels and play their videos, it talks to Telegram's servers with your own API ID and hash and your Telegram login, the way any Telegram app does. Telegram's own privacy policy covers what Telegram does with it. VueGram is unofficial and not made by Telegram.

What stays on your TV

Logging out (Settings › Log out) deletes the Telegram session and your watch history, pinned and hidden chats and crash report from the TV. Uninstalling VueGram deletes everything.

The one other request: updates

At most every 12 hours, VueGram asks GitHub's public API for the newest VueGram release, and downloads it from GitHub when there is one. Nothing about you or your TV is sent, beyond what any web request carries (the TV's IP address, seen by GitHub). You can turn automatic updates off in Settings.

During setup: the page for your API keys

To save you typing with a remote, VueGram can show a QR code that opens a small page served by the TV itself, on your home network, where you paste your API ID and hash from your phone. The page exists only during setup, sends the keys straight to the TV and nowhere else, and closes once they arrive.

Voice search

The microphone button uses your TV's own speech recognition (on Google TV, Google's). VueGram receives only the recognized words, to search with. Your TV's speech service is covered by its maker's privacy policy.

These websites

vuegram.com and docs.vuegram.com have no cookies, analytics or trackers. They load the Outfit font from Google Fonts, and vuegram.com asks GitHub's public API for the latest release number. They are hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any host, sees the requests made to it.

Children

VueGram shows content from your own Telegram account and is not directed at children.
